The vision of Belly Boating Iowa, is to share with you, the knowledge, experience and enthusiasm of fellow belly boaters, from all over Iowa.  Anglers of all ages and experience can exchange information regarding their local water ways, their areas of parks and recreation, and, the facilities they offer.  Each fisherman can share the knowledge of their local bait shop owners, as to what bait works best for that local, under what weather conditions, and, during what season.  Belly boaters can gather information from Park Rangers, fishing clubs, local residents and anglers familiar with the waters, as to where the best cover is, drop-offs, currents and nesting areas.  Better yet, contact other anglers and invite them to accompany you on a day of fishing, and, share your information "first hand"!

Belly Boating Iowa also wants to encourge you to share information about lures, rigs, baits, tackle, rods and reels, that  you find make your fishing trips more enjoyable and productive.  I'm sure there are hundreds of "tricks of the trade" that others would benefit in knowing.  If you find an idea that intrigues you, try it, and let us know how it worked out for you.  I've found, that there are more days where things don't work out, than there are days, when they do.
